I can hardly believe that this was the last weekend of August. I vaguely remember summer approaching. It seems like I just arrived back to Hudson, yet soon it will be a year.  Time passes too quickly.  Now I know what my father meant when he used to say “time goes by like a blink of an eye.”  I never imagined this to be true, especially as a child.  Now it would be wonderful to have the impatience of a child, along with not having the conception of time.  Perhaps then instead of wondering where summer disappeared to I would be wondering when it was going to end. So as we transition into fall,I hope everyone was able to make some beautiful memories and that everyone enjoyed their summer!  I know some friends have kids going off to school, some graduating, and then there is me, who has a daughter returning to Hudson to make some decisions, "lovingly" wreaking havoc in my life!  I would not have it any other way! Next stop . . . autumnal equinox!

Wow, I was back in Hudson the first week of April.  It has changed so much - lots of expensive shops and eateries.  I am retired in Jacksonville, Florida.  I'm not sure if I can make the reunion, but I would like to reconnect with some friends from the Hudson High School Class of 1973.

hey sean, bluehawks have about 2 or 3 losses and they won the homecoming game this past friday by 1 pt.--7-6 to taconic hills.  I used to be a new englander many years ago,(first marriage)and I really do miss it alot. used to live in boston, then bought a house in new hampshire.(the great state with no sales tax!!!! I really want to retire to maine someday, people will say I'm crazy but I really do love the snow.

Lucy-We were supposed to close on our house back in '91 the day that Hurricane Bob came through. Obviously, the closing had to be cancelled until the next day -- and so our house sat uninsured for 24 hours! Fortunately it's a pretty sturdy place and has been around for more than a century. Will certainly let folks know if I'm playing within hailing distance of Hudson. Most of my gigs tend to be in Boston/Eastern Mass., but ya never know -- I almost played with a friend of mine at a Celtic festival that took place at the Chatham Fair grounds back in May (just couldn't work out the transportation).Enjoy the fall everyone. And, hey, how do them Bluehawks look this season?

Lucy, I reckon you must've brought along this hurricane/tropical storm with you from Florida. (My family and I find it amusing that this storm is "Kyle" -- happens to be the name of my younger daughter's first serious boyfriend; fortunately, he wasn't as destructive as a hurricane)Guess I just won't be able to get at the lawn this weekend. Oh darn. Well, off to play tunes in a pub with a fiddler friend of mine. Y'all enjoy the last week of September...

comment by Kiss

A year gone by already. OMG!!! Thanks Shiela for the website and the continued memories. I just sat and went thru all the pictures again just to relive it all over. What a fantastic time.   Class of 1975, get ready. Preliminary plans for some sort of a Class of 75 reunion next July. Maybe a co-ed golf thing the day before and then a get together on that Saturday.

comment by Lucy

Sean . . . .isn’t it funny how we relate certain things to people or things in our lives?  In your case, you are fortunate that Kyle (the boyfriend) was not as destructive as a hurricane.  When I first moved to Florida in 2004, we got hit immediately by Hurricane Charlie, the day after our dog Charlie ran away.    I believed at the time, it was an omen of things to come.  Looking back at how tumultuous my life has been since I have been here is evidence enough to confirm my belief. Enjoy your jam at the pub.   Maybe some of us here from Hudson can take a trip to MA to see you play some day.      Lucy
